Bond 3G and 4G Bonding Solution
Teradek Bond allows on-location video transmission over mobile networks by combining multiple 3G dongles to give fast reliable upload speeds at a fraction of the cost and size of alternatives. Quality video can be uploaded to the internet or to a receiver from anywhere with a 3G network from this camera mounted device. The combination of Cube and Bond is the smallest, lowest power and most cost effective 3G bonding solution available.

HD Streaming Over Multiple 3G Networks
Achieved by incorporating cutting edge technologies such as low power hardware-based video compression and advanced streaming options like MPEG-TS, RTMP, with Teradek's revolutionary Adaptive Internet Streaming technology, which constantly adjusts bit rate and buffering on the fly based on varying network conditions.

Includes MPEG-TS Compliant AGGREGATION Software: Sputnik
To re-combine the multiple data streams, we have developed Sputnik, Teradek's proprietary aggregation software. Sputnik is available as a free download and can be run on any Linux server or hosted in the cloud to reconstruct your video into a single MPEG-TS stream that is compatible with most H.264 IP decoders, including the Cube decoder -- the smallest and lowest priced H.264 to HD-SDI decoder available.

Teradek Bond is compatible with CUBE-150, CUBE-250 and CUBE-550.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:Do I need a Teradek Cube as well as Teradek Bond to transmit pictures?

A:

Yes, a Cube 150 for SDI or 250 for HDMI as these both have the interface necessary to connect; Bond does not encode video by itself.

Q:How many dongles can you plug into Teradek Bond

A:

3 or more is best, but it depends on the quality of service and the loading on the service you are using, you can also use different 3G service providers to avoid blackspots and loading issues.

Q:How many do you need to get a good quality video transmission?
A:Up to 5

Q:What makes and models of dongles / service providers work best?

A:

It depends on signal availability in the area you intend to use Bond. We have had excellent results with the new Huawei E367 Dongle from the 3 network – Three.co.uk and we would recommend this dongle and provider. Other recommended dongles are listed here

Q:How do I use the video sent by Bond?

A:

Teradek supply some software they have developed called Sputnik which puts the signal sent by the multiple dongles back together again to give a URL where the video is streamed too. You can use Teradek's own free server in the 'Cloud', or use the supplied software to make your own server. You can then display the video live on a web site like Livestream, open the link in a program like VLC on a Mac or PC to view or send the video stream to a Teradek Cube receiver via the internet to convert it back to SDI or HDMI.

Q:What is the latency of the Bond video transmission system?
A:Teradek claim the end to end latency can be less than 2 seconds.

Q:I hear 4G dongles and mobile phones are coming out next year, will these work with Bond?

A:

Yes - 4G is already available in parts of the USA where Bond is developed and so when available in the UK the superior data rates available should make very high quality transmission practical.
